The Switzerland of America. Ouray was incorporated in 1876, the same year Colorado became a state and was named after Chief Ouray of the Ute Indian Tribe. The entirety of Main Street is registered as a National Historic District, with most of the buildings dating back to the late 19th century. Ouray is a popular destination as it marks the beginning of the Million Dollar Highway, a spectacular stretch of road that connects to the neighboring towns of Silverton and Durango.

Alpine Bank Ouray has been a part of the community since 1996. Whether you enjoy a soak in the Ouray Hot Springs Pool or climbing in the world famous Ouray Ice Park in the winter, we invite you to come visit. We are proud to serve and give back to the people and organizations that make Ouray the beautiful place it is.
