Ouray Chamber Businesses: The Ouray Chamber has been asked by the Colorado Department of the Treasury, through the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT), to share the following information with our business members.
In case you are not aware, state law requires employers with 5+ employees and no sponsored retirement plan to participate in the Colorado SecureSavings Program. Up to now, they have not been strictly enforcing the state mandate, but as we understand it, enforcement is now active and the Treasury Department will be sending letters in the mail to businesses who are not in compliance.
So we are happy to help keep you in the know! We will post this information on the Member News page of our Ouray Chamber website as well.
